The basilica is accessed from Piazza Santa Maria Novella
On Sunday morning the basilica opens half an hour before the start of the Holy Mass at 10.30 a.m., that is at 10 a.m.

Access to the Pura Chapel is through the basilica (entrance in Piazza S. Maria Novella)
Generally suitcases are not allowed in the complex. Religious groups that wish to participate in Holy Mass can contact the parish priest to have their luggage stored.
Holidays such as 1 January (Mary Mother of God), 6 January (Epiphany of Our Lord), 15 August (the Assumption of Our Lady), 1 November (All Saints’), 8 December (the Immaculate Conception) and 25 December (Christmas Day) follow the regular Sunday schedule.
